His work focuses on building reliable, scalable intercom solutions for concerts, festivals, and complex outdoor productions where timing, coordination, and redundancy are essential.

For Foo Fighters Live in Jakarta, Agung and his team were responsible for designing and operating the on-site communication system that connected multiple departments across a demanding live concert environment.

Challenge & Setup

The Foo Fighters concert took place on October 2, 2025, at Carnaval Ancol, Jakarta, an outdoor beachside venue. The environment presented immediate challenges. Heavy rain the day before the event left the site damp and unpredictable, increasing the risk of signal instability and equipment failure. With a large crew operating across stage management, audio, lighting, and technical coordination, uninterrupted communication was non-negotiable.

Traditional communication setups often struggle in environments like this, especially when channel distribution is limited or reconfiguration is slow. For this project, the team needed a system that could support multiple independent communication groups, maintain stable coverage across a wide outdoor area, and operate reliably throughout long event hours.

To meet these demands, Agung deployed the Hollyland Solidcom H1 intercom system, with the Geo Central Station serving as the core control unit. The system was configured for 10 users with two antennas and linked to an existing Clear-Com wired system, allowing seamless integration between wireless and cabled communication networks.

Working at the intersection of animation and filmmaking, Julian’s process demands absolute control over framing, timing, and visual detail.

Small Scale, High Precision

Julian’s recent projects included both indie filmmaking and a small commercial shoot, all produced within the tight confines of a home studio. While the scale was modest, the demands were anything but. Paper-cut animation operates at a miniature level, where the smallest adjustment in framing, lighting, or puppet position can dramatically alter the final result. With two people working in close proximity and often performing actions simultaneously, the workflow needed to be efficient, flexible, and interruption-free.

In such a setting, traditional wired monitoring quickly becomes a bottleneck.
